Creating Cranial Champions

This workshop focused on brain based research as well as strategies developed from the research; these strategies and methods are geared toward enhancing student success and achievement in the classroom. Participants experienced team building and classroom community construction before examining the learning pyramid, memorization classification, and content misconceptions. A complete learning cycle lesson entitled "Turn Up the Heat" was facilitated to allow participants further experience with brain based strategies. Each team of teachers then carefully focused on twenty different brain based strategies and how they could be implemented within each teacher's individual classroom.
