JASON

With an emphasis on Louisiana's Disappearing Wetlands, the nationally recognized JASON Expedition offers area educators a full day's experience with the materials and programs available for both students and teachers alike. Through small group learning experiences as well as facilitator demonstration, key components of the JASON resources are explored and shared. Engaging video clips, interactive computer programs, and actual hands-on investigations allow workshop participants a first hand glimpse into the world of JASON, a world designed to engage and inspire students everywhere.

To kick off 2005, CATALyST was pleased to welcome Pat Ziegelbauer as she presented the award-winning JASON Expedition, a project funded by Shell Oil Company and approved by both Louisiana's Governor and the Department of Education.
