Making Mathematics Meaningful (M3)

M3 reflects a three-year partnership between CATALyST/Louisiana Tech and LINCS/LaSIP elementary schools. During each year of the project, participants engage in learning experiences designed to increase both their mathematics content knowledge and their pedagogical skills.

The program features nationally recognized curricular materials and is facilitated by an instructional/support team consisting of a University mathematics faculty member and two former exemplary K-12 teachers now serving as CATALyST professional developers complete the partnership that forms the instructional/support team. Additional CATALyST team members and school system personnel participate in development and delivery of professional development that is based on analysis of school system data.
