The next academic workshop of the year will be held on Saturday, January 9, 1999, at SFA for all Texas Project LIFE participants.
We will get underway at 8:30AM in our usual classroom and conclude by 3:30PM.
Be sure to bring any items for the next newsletter and your terrific Texas attitude as we kick off 1999 together and make plans for the remainder of our Project LIFE year.
Thank you Texas LIFER's
for your hospitality and gracious spirit as I have visited your classrooms for the first time. You have been TERRIFIC and your hard work shows. Keep it up! I can’t wait to see you in ‘99 . . .
HELPFUL HINTS FROM LIFERS . . .
Liz Dickson, Nacogodches High School passes along this helpful hint as an extension for population sampling activities. Take the students outside and have them use the quadrant technique for evaluating a pine/hardwood ecosystem. Ten trys can yield
a tremendous amount of data and you can develop a picture of your local ecosystem in the process. Let us know if you try it and how your students do!
CATHI IS FINALLY ON LINE!
Ho! Ho! Ho!
