Linda Ramsey
Program Director

Linda is the driving force of CATALyST. She handles all administrative duties, obtains all funding, and oversees all center programs and partnerships. She serves as a member of the instructional team for C3, the LA GEAR UP program, and many of the partnership programs with K-12 schools. Read more -->

Cathi Cox
Program Coordinator

Cathi serves as coordinator for all the programs under the CATALyST umbrella, while providing more direct facilitation of C3 (Chemical Concepts and Connections for Teacher Leaders). Part of the summer instruction team for C3, Cathi also directs the academic year follow up program which includes classroom visits, an online learning community, workshop weekends, and quarterly newsletters. Cathi also collaborates with other members of the CATALyST team to provide professional development opportunities for teachers whenever needed. Read more-->.

Martha Garber
Administrative Assistant

Martha provides administrative assistance by managing our budgets and all activities.  She oversees invoicing, expenditures, and purchases.  She maintains all grant records, and assists in all preparation of proposals, budgets, handouts, newsletters,and brochures.  We couldn't live without her.

Sherri Ferrel
CATALyST Facilitator

As CATALyST Facilitator, Sherri serves as a Project LIFE instructor, writes the CATALyST Conundrums column, and manages the Journal of K-12 Research in Science and Mathematics. She provides additional support in developing and presenting workshops and college courses for teachers. Read more -->

CATALyST Facilitator

Carolyn is the primary liaison between Project LIFE participants and project staff and a member of the instructional staff for the summer program. Missy Wooley

Dr. Bill Deese
C3 Co-Principal Investigator

Bill, who formerly was an instructor for the summer course and consultant for Project LIFE, is currently the co-principal investigator, course designer, and lead instructor for CATALyST's "Chemical Concepts and Connections for Teacher Leaders (C3)."
